Beautiful Condo - But needs A/C

The condo itself is super cute, gorgeous views and super clean. However, while we were in Catalina, it got really hot and the unit doesn't have any air conditioning. If we opened the doors and windows, we'd get a nice ocean breeze, however, we'd also get a ton of bugs coming in, so that made it a struggle for us. The golf cart that is included with the unit also needs a serious upgrade. The seats were all ripped up and it was very very loud.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We come every year and always stay in a different unit. This is our favorite so far and we will be back. The unit was very clean, nicely decorated, and spacious. The views are incredible.

A couple of things to note (doesn’t change the rating but hopefully useful for future guests). The rolling shade in the master is tricky. It does roll all the way up but you have to play with it a bit. The view from the master is breathtaking so you’ll want all of the shades open.

There is also no acrylic/plastic glassware so if you bring drinks to the pool, keep that in mind as glass is not allowed.

The check in/out process was very easy.

Great location, just a few steps from the road. Beautiful view at sunrise, sundown, etc. One of the few units with 2 king size beds. Like that. Only negative is that small bedroom had to much clutter. Especially in closets. Little room to hang clothes and put things in drawers. No room for night stands beside king bed.

This unit has such a wonderful, inviting charm. And there is little to compare with that view. We sat on the balcony and watched all of the activity happening around the island. The cruise ships docking, the parakiters flying by, and the ebb and flow of the fishing boats and yachets. Then take the golf cart into town for any meal or activity. And what activities! We did the zip-line, the segways, the shopping, the spa treatments... we tried to miss nothing, and this rental gave us the convenience to attack them all! What a wonderful trip!!!

This is the first time we have stayed at Hamilton Cove Villa's but it won't be the last! We were so impressed with our villa 2-48! It was so clean and inviting! We felt so much at home here! The owners thought of every detail! We so enjoyed the view of the ocean watching the dolphins and seals going by. Having our elderly parents with us it was so wonderful for them to only have one step to take to enter the condo! Thanks for opening your home to us we look forward visiting again!

This was our 1st and 2nd time staying at Hamilton Cove. We loved it! Our first stay was in 11-52 (9-25 thru 9-29) real close to the water the waves put you to sleep at night. Condo was clean, quite and easy to get into only a few steps. It was also a nice place to hang out. Now, 2-48...Wow...this place was great. Awsome views of the bay and pool, it has quite private balcony with nice relaxing chairs to sink into. Both rooms were comfy, clean and quite, Kitchen was well stocked ( I am a chef, so, I loved that). 2-48 was so nice and relaxing we would have loved to buy it.Lol. We will be checking availability for 2-48 everytime we come to the island. To the Owners, Thank you for allowing us to share yoour home.

This was our fourth summer trip spent at Hamilton Cove and the second time to rent this unit. Since our family has expanded since our original trip, we rented 2 units this time - and both were just great. Can't beat the view and these two units had 0 - 2 steps from the street -- and close to the exit, so handy for trips to town.

This was such a fantastic vaction that i want to buy this palce and live her forever. The gardners do a wonderful job. Beautiful grounds. The condo was super clean and comfortable. Fyi dishes were not clean when we got there i had to rewash :(

Hamilton Cove 2-48 is absolutely beautiful! It is the most tastefully decorated and stocked condo we have ever rented. The views are really stunning. I would defineately return to Hamilton Cove condos (this was our first stay) and would be hard pressed not to request the exact same unit:)

From the time we got there and left 5 days later we had a wonderful time - The Condo was equipped everything you need. It was raining the whole time - but there's nothing like a swim in the heated pool - then sit down and relax in that great Jacuzzi in the rain ! Avalon also was a blessing - activities and food was at its best !

We have been coming to the island 3 or 4 times a year for the past 8 years. We have stayed in many different units. This is by far the best unit we have ever stayed in! The owners obviously take pride in providing every detail of the unit from decor to remote control instructions on how to play a play a DVD. The linens and bedding was luxurious and very comfortable. The furnishings are new and beautiful! We loved the large comfy sofa! The golf cart is one of the nicest ones we have ever had, although we were surprised that there is not a plastic door attachment on this cart...it did rain while we were there. We have found our second home and will be requesting this unit everytime.

Best condo ever. Had the most amazing views. No steps. Feels like we were at the Greek Isles. Free golf cart included. The only negative about the condo was that there was too much furniture in it. I like a more open feeling. Why do they need a 6 seated dining room table and a huge sectional couch in one room?

The condo was very nice. Very close to entrance of community, second building and two steps from curbside to front door. Beautiful view, there was cable TV and Internet Access. The golf cart was Limo size and very nice. Everything was TOP notch. Only draw back was 4am false fire alarm for building #2 on the last day. That has not very enjoyable, but I guess we found out the alarm would work if needed.

We try to attend the 4th of July festivities on the island and have stayed at most of the accomodations from private homes to hotels. This was our second stay at Hamilton Cove and, while at the higher end of the rents, Hamilton Cove cannot be beat. It is hands above the rest of available properties on the island and we will continue to stay at the cove as often as we can. We highly recommend Hamilton Cove condos as the place to stay.

We love to stay at Hamilton cove Resort for our Catalina vacations.; last time on July 2005, we stayed at 3-19, a nice unit, me, my husband and my son.It was very relaxing,i found a good book in that house about Mr. Wrigley,and was able to finish it. this time, my parents came from china for a visit, and we took them to Catalina and stayed at 2-48, very cozy and well decorated unit, my parents were very impressed; we appreciate very much that the resort owner and management maintain such good rental unit for vacationer, so that we can spend 2 wonderful nights with my parents and the memory is unforgettable. Staying in Hamilton cove is always a good choice.

We absolutely loved this condo. It is our family tradition to stay at Hamilton Cove every summer (sometimes twice) and always try to stay at different condos just for fun. I must say that this is one of our favorites right now. The entrance with only one step was wonderful and the close proximity to the entrance of the complex made it even better for us. The decor was beautiful and the views were spectacular. We will be reserving this condo again. Loved it!!

We in this awesome two bedroom with another couple. The unit was a perfect vacation spot. Decorated with a mediteranian feel and Catalina History. The lay out is great for privacy. the Unit had everything we could ever need stocked- and- there were no stairs (some units have 100 steps to their door). Catalina Island Vacation Rentals were very flexible when we couldn't get our boat out of avalon due to weather. The entire Island was stuck and they deeply discounted our last night stay. All in All it was great! We will defintely be back.

The amenities are maintained by the Hamilton Cove Homeowners Association and are not guaranteed. Some restrictions may apply.
