Great location, fantastic having the convenience of a golf cart in which to get around the island, lovely views and close to a few of the island's main activities. If you're sensitive to noise, bring ear plugs as the balcony runs the length of your next door neighbour's property. The accommodation is very large with dedicated spaces to dine, lounge etc. The downside is that the furnishings and furniture is tired and old fashioned but all in good working order. Our family enjoyed our first trip to Catalina very much.

We had never stayed on Catalina before so we were a little nervous about this rental especially considering there were no refunds. But the place is nice! Beautiful views! Nice energy here! And you get a golf cart for your transportation needs.

My wife and I stay at Hamilton Cove every year. October is always the month we visit Catalina as we're avid Jazz Festival lovers. Overall the villa was nice and comfortable. Beautifully decorated. Loved how large the rooms were and the beds were comfortable. The shared balcony was GREAT as we had friends that stayed in the condo next door to us ~ PERFECT! The golf cart, GREAT! A few things to report and perhaps consider.... The TV didn't work, was unable to get any channels or music. One of the large eyelets on the stove was inoperable. The dishwsher didn't work. Owners may want to consider touching up the paint in all rooms. Lots of dings and scuff marks on the walls.

Only 4 flights of steps up to the unit, which is pretty good at Hamilton Cove.This unit is 2bed with King beds, but has a blow up if you need to sleep another person

We had a fabulous time. The view from our balcony was amazing! We had everything and the use of a golf cart was really terrific bonus. Would love to come back again. A wonderful vacation! 

The condo was very nice and relaxing the shared balcony was not an issue like I thought it was going to be. Having the private area of Hamilton cove enhances the experience cause you have a place to escape the crowds and have quiet time yet you can hop in your cart and go into town and enjoy the crowds when you want. the only slight problem I had was the maintenance crew popping up randomly I was in my boxers in the living room and then suddenly at 7 in the morning there was some dude on the balcony. that happened to me last year as well I understand they have a job to do though. also I would recommend hitting the sidewalk areas with a power washer but I also understand that catalina is going through a severe drought. my stay there was wonderful me and my friends had a great time that we wont soon forget. 

On the cab ride in, as we stopped at the entry gate to Hamilton Cove, a worker asked where we were staying. Unit 4-12 we replied. He said that we would love it, and as we pulled away, we heard him remark to the guard - "That place is bad-*ss". We weren't sure what he meant, and we laughed. When we opened the door, and looked around, it was clear this was not a typical Hamilton Cove rental. Some of the units we've stayed in benefited from renovations, this was way beyond the typical refreshing. Absolutely everything was new, lots of marble, beautiful cabinetry, gorgeous tub/showers, nice furnishings, TV's in the living room and each of the two bedrooms, and done very tastefully. Both bedrooms are very spacious, the 2nd bedroom is as spacious as most masters. As other reviews point out, there are some obstructions to the view, but you can see the ocean over and between other units. Unlike other units though, there are views out of each of the bedrooms, as well as the living/dining areas. We cannot wait to return, and felt this was a bargain, when compared to the cost of a pair of hotel rooms in Avalon. The reviews posted in 2013 reflect the current condition of the unit, the reviews posted in 2010 (or earlier) are prior to the renovation, and are out of date. 

Absolutely lovely. Luxuriously appointed. Professionally decorated. Amazing. Even better than it looks in pictures. When we arrived in Catalina it was the end of a three week summer vacation in which we stayed at two other very upscale vacation homes (near Bryce Canyon and Zion National Parks, Utah) that were very nice. This was the best!!! We never wanted to leave. 

Great stay, secluded. Golf cart a must. Beds were on the slight side--not sure how to sleep 6 people unless you count the couch and bedroom beds were small--seemed like full size and not queen. We enjoyed ourselves and the amenities. Tell people to bring putter for golf course and rennis rackets as they aren't in the units.

My family and I had a wonderful experience. We will be back. You made it so easy. We took the Express and then got a cab who took us to get the keys. The drive up was so nice. When we got to the home it had everything we wanted. The golf car was a great way to travel around.
