Spring into the season with Catalina Island activities from bunny sightings, colorful egg findings and festive brunch or dinner. Hop on over to Avalon for your Easter celebrations!
Do you have children? Bring them to the grass lawn at Descanso beach on Sunday morning for the annual Easter Egg Hunt, hosted by the Avalon Recreation Department.
It’s completely free and open to the public. Breakfast is available at Descanso Fresh from 8am to 10am, then the first round of egg hunting begins at 10am. Bring your own baskets! Children will be separated by age, with a Golden Egg for each category. There will also be other prizes for any child that participates.
The Easter Bunny will be there for photos, so don’t forget to bring your camera!
You can also stay for lunch at Descanso, or enjoy some drinks by the beach.

The Seaport Bistro will also be offering a delicious Easter Brunch buffet from 10am to 1pm. Expect omelets, bacon, waffles, coffee, tea, mimosas, and a shrimp station!
If you would like to support The Teen Center, you can head over to their colorful pancake breakfast, available from 7am until noon. They will be serving up rainbow colored pancakes and sausage in exchange for a small donation.
Looking for some Easter treats? Ben’s Bakery and the Catalina Coffee & Cookie company will both offer cute desserts, such as bunny or egg shaped cookies. Get them before they sell out!
Finally, numerous Easter services will be offered at the Avalon Community Church, Singing Waters Christin Center, and St. Catherine of Alexandria.
