I visit Catalina Island a lot and usually stay at one of the hotels in the heart of Avalon. This time I decided to spend a more leisurely time with my family in the island. We ended up staying at the Hamilton Cove Villas and I am glad we did. Hamilton Cove is a gated community about 1.5 miles from Avalon. It has many condos on hills surrounding the cove. Every condo has an amazing view of the ocean.
Our unit had 2 bedrooms, 1.75 bathrooms, living room, dining room and kitchen. The master bedroom was very large with an attached office/lounge area and a master bathroom with a luxurious bathtub. The living room had a sleeper couch and a large flat screen TV. After a busy day exploring the island, it was nice to relax and enjoy a movie with the family.
The best feature to me was the large balcony with stunning views all around. We had our breakfast on the balcony and admired the breathtaking scenery around us. We also enjoyed getting around with the complimentary golf cart that comes with the villa.
