The Newport Beach Catalina Island ferry terminal is located in the Newport Funzone, a collection of rides, shops and arcades on the Lido Peninsula across from Balboa Island. Directions to the Newport Beach terminal are easy to follow.
- Take the 55 Freeway south until it turns into Newport Blvd in Newport Beach.
- Newport Blvd becomes Balboa Blvd as it makes the left turn onto the Balboa Peninsula.
- At Main Street, turn left to access the Newport Beach ferry terminal, at the Balboa Pavilion.
Parking for the Newport Beach Catalina ferry is located a short drive from the terminal. Return to Balboa Blvd and turn onto Palm Street. Parking is adjacent to the Balboa Pier.
The Catalina to Newport ferry is operated by Catalina Passenger Service. Their catamaran, the Newport Flyer, makes one round-trip voyage to the island daily in the spring, summer and fall.
