It offers a spacious living area with large windows and flooded with light, a dining room, and a large kitchen fully equipped for preparing those family meals.
All five bedrooms are decorated with taste and located upstairs. The master bedroom offers privacy and great views.
The owner supplies 2 high chairs (one with tray) and a pack 'n play portable crib. Free WiFi.FYI: Fireplace is nonfunctional. Families only, please. A total of 1200 SF. 353E

Could use some sprucing up

This house worked for us, a family of ten made up of couples and grandkids. The rooms are small and the two showers smaller. It needs some TLC: the carpets need to be replaced, the kitchen updated (that sink!) and at least one of the big living room windows should be able to be opened. It was close to town and Vons and the street closed to traffic, real plusses. Our grandson said when I told him it seemed a bit shabby that it was what he called "beach casual." So be it.

One of two properties we rented for a family reunion. The beauty of this site is the location. Eucalyptus is a no traffic street. This provides a significant level of safety. The access to the new Vons is a real advantage as well. Had to make four trips there in one day. Closeness is crucial. Wonderful place for children.

8 of us stayed here and there was plenty of room. There were certainly lines for the 2 bathrooms at key times but for a vacation house it all worked. We even cooked a big dinner for 12 in the kitchen and then ate in the dining room. there is plenty of common space downstairs and even some beach stuff like floaties and snorkel stuff on the side of the house. Overall, if I had a large group I would rent here again.

It was nicely decorated (vintage). I really liked it and it was fun looking at the pictures they have on the walls. They also have old guestbooks that people signed. I was going to buy one to leave there but unfortunately, I forgot. The room with the 4 beds is very small. However, it served the purpose because one definitely doesn't stay in the house during the day. There's so much to do during the house. There wasn't any problem with noise. We had some great neighbors, renters, and people that live nearby. It's an awesome area to stay in. It's a no car street which makes it fun for adults and kids. We bbq'd two evenings on the street ...awesome family time. Whoever rented the house before us didn't clean the bbqer so we had to do it. The house has table and chairs that you can use outside. Another plus of staying on a no car street is that there is no car and people traffic. We really liked this. The kitchen definitely has everything you need. There's a park up the street which makes it a great asset if you have children. The house also has beach toys for kids which is nice. We had a problem with Wifi but they quickly came and fixed the problem. They put a new modem in the house.

My family of four (2 adults, 2 young children), along with another family of four (2 adults, 2 young children) stayed at this charming house for four days during our school's spring break. The house was comfortable, spacious, and the perfect location. The house sits on a street that is blocked off from automobiles, so the kids were able to play soccer out on the street right in front of the house. We could easily walk to coffee shops, restaurants, miniature golf, Descanso Beach, the pier, grocery stores, the museum, etc—the house is located right in the middle of Avalon, but far enough from the main drag that you felt quietly tucked away. **VRBO GUEST**
