Descanso Beach, just past the world-famous Catalina Casino, has long been a summer oasis, where cocktail service on the sand mixed with great activities for the entire family create a can’t-miss destination for warm-weather visitors.
Last year, appeal of Descanso Beach expanded even further when the Santa Catalina Island Company introduced a Winter Wonderland in December, complete with ice skating rink, holiday treats and a visit from St. Nick. This year, Easter on Catalina is getting the Descanso Beach treatment. The popular Catalina Island destination will be hosting an egg hunt and brunch on Easter Sunday. Surrounded by palm trees, white sand and the soothing susurrus of the sea, Easter at Descanso Beach will be an ideal way to celebrate the holiday Catalina Island style.
Hosted by the Santa Catalina Island Company and sponsored by Catalina Island Vacation Rentals and Catalina Island Real Estate, the Community Egg Hunt and Easter Brunch at Descanso Beach will feature brunch from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, March 27. Egg hunting will be divided between ages five and under at noon and ages six to 12 at 1 p.m. Reservations for brunch are available by calling 310-510-7401 or visit the event website.
